Semper Primus: "Always First"
The 157th Fighter Squadron is one of the oldest Air National Guard Fighter Squadrons. Currently flying the F-16C Blk.52 Viper, the squadron prides itself in being capable of flying a slew of different mission sets. The Swamp Foxes have proven themselves in many conflicts including; WWII, the Vietnam War, the Korean War, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and more.
The F-16C Blk.52 provides the unique ability to perform the SEAD/DEAD mission set with incredible results against many different modern Surface to Air systems. The airframe also performs roles such as Escort, Interdiction, Close Air Support (CAS), Offensive Counter Air (OCA) and Defensive Counter Air (DCA). Further, the extensive training and experience of the pilots allows for these dangerous types of mission sets to be flown in areas that other airframes wouldn't be able to.
The 157th vFS in USLANTCOM is a long standing squadron with experienced pilots and long standing members of the group. Enjoying the experience that USLANTCOM offers the group as a whole while providing the airframe and mission sets to help further the experience within the sim. Having fun, enjoying the experience and aiming to be the best we can be is what the 157th vFS is all about.
Virtual USLANTCOM is a community of like-minded simulation enthusiasts that are in no way connected or affiliated with the real-life military or government entities that we have assimilated for entertainment purposes only. It is out of our sheer admiration for the men, women, and equipment that keep our values safe, that we seek to honor them by wearing the colors they bear — in the spirit of both gratitude, and humility.
